I would like to congratulate SATTE for achieving this feat and thank them for giving representation to states such as Leh-Ladakh in their esteemed event. India is the only country that has a different cultural identity across dimensions and geography. Events like these showcase our rich culture in a great way. I hope foreign guests and visitors attending the event get a glimpse of our country.

I would like to congratulate the organizers of this tremendous travel event. From the shipping ministry perspective, cruise tourism amongst Indians has become very popular; India's coastal line boasts of 7,500 kms which increases immense potential for cruise tourism. Keeping this in mind, we have built International cruise terminals such as the one in Mumbai. A few in Goa, Mangalore, Kochi, Paradip and Kolkata are in the pipeline as the ministry and its stakeholders are continuously working to build the tourism sector.

Uttarakhand is the land of spirituality, yoga and adventure. It is called Devbhoomi for a good reason. The rich natural resource here makes it a most suitable tourism destination catering to diverse needs. From being the yoga capital, and the seat of bird watching, wild life and adventure tourism, to being in focus internationally, with the Beatles group and Steve Jobs famously coming to our land, you get it all in our beautiful state and we welcome you there. I am delighted to be at SATTE and appreciate the exports efforts in bringing into focus the hidden gems and unexplored treasures of the world. Shri Maharaj also formally unveiled the mascot 'Barfi' of the Himalayan mountain biking competition to be held between 25 April to 2 May 2020.
Shri Satpal Maharaj Tourism, Cultural and Irrigation Minister in the Cabinet of Government of Uttarakhand

The visitors' turnaround has been great, and the interactions with other exhibitors have also given us some useful insights about the industry. For this year, UP Tourism is focusing on eco-tourism by promoting wildlife sanctuary destinations. Under the initiative of SWADESH by the Ministry of Tourism, we are also planning to promote and develop Kaushambi and Sankisa as two major destinations for Buddhist tourism; the detailed project reports for the same are under process. The response that we have received was tremendous, and we look forward to participating in SATTE next year as well.
UP Tourism Board
As wellness tourism is picking up, our state has villages, beaches, and hill stations where tourists can visit, stay and get a taste of fresh air. All our associated hotel partners are also banking on the idea of giving their customers an experience of relaxation with wellness. We have received a fairly good footfall at SATTE this year and look forward to the next year’s event.

India has always been a major source market for Nepal. We have added adventure activities and are promoting zipline, and cable cars in destinations like Kalinchowk and Dhulikher, and activities like Bungee Jumping in Kushma. New hotel properties and reputed hospitality chains have also been added to our network like Mariott, Sheraton, Meridian, Crowne Plaza, Chandragiri Hills Limited etc., for luxury travel. We wish to change the perception of Nepal from just being a religious destination to promoting it as a destination for adventure, weddings, MICE affairs, luxury travel with new casinos. Concessions close to 50% have been offered by several hotel chains in Nepal to revive the industry.
Mr. Gokul Bandhari Information Official, from Nepal Tourism Board
SATTE is our first physical exhibition after the lockdown, and we are excited to be a part of it. The response received has been better than what we expected. We had a couple of new launches like Fast Growing Hotels and Flights API Product; we also launched two new products for Railways and Cruises. We expect the year of 2022 to bring in a lot of positivity for the industry as the vaccine is here, and people are keenly looking forward to fulfilling all their postponed travel plans. Domestic leisure business is already on the path of revival; we look forward to better numbers in the coming year.
